engine light
hi was wondering if anyone could help me out? i have a 2015 chevy cruze. last weekend i was driving and i got a notification saying AC turning off engine temp too high. then when i parked the fan kept running. checked coolant added some. the next day it did the same. so i checked some fuses and disconnected the battery it stopped the fan running and AC turned back on. but a few days after the engine light came? suggestions?
thanks

Should hook up an OBD II scanner and see if codes pop up. They should with the light on.

For starts, if you have a check engine light on, there will be a stored code. This code will most probably be related to your problem.
Wittout it, it is just guessing.
You can lend a scan tool in places like AutoZone, or buy a simple reader for less than 50$, that hooks up to your smartphone.
PS. One general note - solid check engine light can be caused by many thing. On the other hand, FLASHING check engine light ALWAYS indicates engine misfire. This is either due to sparks, plugs or injectors.

I have found that the Ancel AD310 is a great unit for a non-pro and its only 35 USD.and cheaper then the auto parts store code readers.
Moved up to the Innova 3160g. Not quite pro grade but close enough. Works good and way cheaper.
