Fuse 5 blows repeatedly creating strange symptoms. Center console lights go out. Radio keeps playing, but is uncontrollable. Radio only stops when key is removed and door is opened.
Car has been giving 'Side Detection' alarms for about a year. We didn't think much about that until this started, and then I found a thread on another forum that implicated side detection system short to this problem.
Anybody have experience fixing this? Is there any way to avoid buying these $220 sensors to fix the problem, or even worse, an $800 trip to the dealer?
