Several Problems With Cruze
1) WATER PUMP / COOLANT: I had my 2012 Cruze at the dealership last week. I had broken down on the highway in the freezing cold. My water pump went, which now I see is a very common problem. It was covered under my warranty, although I had to pay for 2 days of insurance for a rental car (plus gas).
2) INDICATOR LIGHTS/ STABILITRAK / ABS / RADIO PROBLEMS: On the same day I told the dealership about another problem, which I have since researched and found also to be common. My dashboard lights keep going on and off....Check Stabilitrack, ABS, etc; my radio goes on and off intermittently....when this happens there's no sound whatsoever from the blinker if it is on. Last week, when they had the car for the water pump, they didn't see these indicator light issues or the radio problem. I took a video of the indicator lights and radio going on and off and showed it to the dealer when I dropped off my car this morning. They said they would check it out further, but that they would need to charge me $45 because they forgot to charge me a diagnosing fee last week (for the indicator lights) when I had it in, and they couldn't find anything. Really?? I am still under warranty and even purchased an extended warranty?! My research from others on these forums shows that it might be the battery cable part #13291347.
3) PAINT CHIPS: Paint chipping from stones...another common problem that I think should be corrected since so many people have this issue. I asked them about his and referred to PI0726. I was told I needed to talk to the body shop. I told them I had already talked to the body shop and nothing came of it. This chips appeared within just a few weeks of me driving it off the lot. Then they said to call Chevrolet. What good will that do? I've seen so many posts about this problem, and it looks like it's not being covered.

If I had known i would have this many problems with it I would have looked at something else. I even talked my parents into buying a 2014 Malibu, which I hope I don't regret.
