I have a manual, 6-speed 2014 Cruze that I picked up 6 months ago. It had 47000 miles and now has about 55000. It has been running great up until today when I took it out and when I shifted from 3rd to 4th gear, and then back out of 4th gear, it was stiff. I then shut the car off and tried to go through all the gears and the only time it was stiff was from neutral to 4th and then back out. After I got into another gear, it was freed up and normal. What could this be a cause of? Could it be a faulty trans? Which doesn’t make sense because it’s only affecting one gear.
