This is my 03 Suburban 5.3 engine with 230k miles. We started at my local garage with lifter replacement a 1500 job then found out a cam is also needed. If there’s anyone on here that knows engines that can look at those pistons and tell me if I should go ahead and buy a rebuilt short or long block and stop this repair as it fails nightmare I’ve done for 2 years. Also, I live in north Texas any recommendations on a place to buy an engine? Monday’s everyone sells them for part houses,Amazon to Walmart and dozens of independents.
