Default 427 head advice

debating what do with my bbc 427.
It drives ok but very tame. Want more toruq/hp for solely street use.
Before I change the cam ( xe262 -218.224@50 with 510 lift) want to decide on what heads.

On now are chevy iron heads listed as 396/265hp and 427truck.225 intake runners.2.06/1.72 valves.Never cc'd so either 112 or 122cc depending on which books you look at giving either 8.5:1 or 9:5:1 with my pistons.

I have found some very good condition 215 heads.Theyve been polished and ported , have 260cc intake runners and 104cc chambers giving 10.25:1.Im in the uk and fuel here is 97 octane so ok. Have the same 2.06/1.72 valves.

Will using these really wake up the engine ( all other things being the same) . I would prefer new heads but theyre simply too costly once shipped here.

thanks
