Default Help with 350

I have a small block v8 355 that i want to put in my truck the problem is that it is not ready to be put in. It has an edelbrock carb and intake manifold, 490 cam, bored 40 over, 11 to 1 compretion in the pistons, 4 bolt main, and thats all that i know. I would like to get rid of there carb and either replace it w efi or throttle body, but i have had different opinions from other people some say carb is the best to go and others say different. So the question i am asking is carb, throttle body, or efi? I need to choose one that wont bust my budget and will still let me have decent gas mileage. Any help?

carb is simplets, but least efficient

Ditch the Edelcrap and get a Holley.

yes holly is the much better way to go, efi is expensive, so umless u have 2k burnin a hole in your pocket or have acess to a junkyard and a lot of time, i would stick with the carb, and start the timing off consevitavely with thhat much compression
