Default rebuilding chevy 350

Hello all im trying to rebuild a Chevy GM 350 4 bolt main casting number GM 10066036. Need some advice on what parts i need in order to get this engine to the 350-400 hp range. its going into my 73 camaro. Any inputs will be appreciated

You'll need high-compression pistons and heads for one thing. By 1973' all the car and pickup motors were "detuned" for SMOG regulations and the coming of unleaded gasoline with redesigned valves and valve seats that didn't depend on leaded gasoline as a "cushion", as lead destroys a catalytic converter very rapidly. A really good aftermarket intake manifold and a high CFM Holley carburetor would most assuredly help, and headers, of course. And of course a racing camshaft goes without saying.

Any suggestions on what type of head, like names or brand?

Summit Racing sells nice 350 heads,of different prices. Summit Racing® Cast Iron Cylinder Heads for Small Chevy part #SUM-152123 seems like an affordable head.

They have promo codes that you can use to save money and free shipping on most things. It all depends on what you want/wish to do with your Camaro, as to what you should use to build your engine. Is it a stick or an automatic? What ratio gears doe the axle have currently?
