Default Another problem for me

My 2006 Chevy Equinox LT is doing something funny. The Low traction light is coming on, and when it does the car loses a little power for a while then the light gose out and the power is restored. The ABS and Traction Control lights are not coming on while this is happening and they are working fine. So what could be the problem for that?

does it occur when you are accelerating from a stop?

any mismatched tires or tires on the drive axle with
uneven treadwear causing a possible tire circumference difference?

Only when acclerating past 55 mph for a long period of time. It will cut off but also cut back on.

Okay I thank you for that post. I did added a size a little bigger on the back versus the front. Will it have a really bad effect on that vehicle if I keep them on there to long?

if you have an awd it will damage the transfer case. if you have fwd it will skew all the wheel speed sensor data which is used for traction control, abs and stability control.

you may have created the problem. put 4 matched tires of the same brand on the vehicle.
