Default EQUINOX 2008 Brakes seizing

Brakes seize and pedal becomes hard when the car is idle for while ( and running) like bein stuck in traffic for 20 mins or so. Have to park the car, turn it off and let it rest for 30 mins before being able to drive it.

Have been to 3 garages including a GM dealership but nobody is finding anything wrong.

I have researched on my side, I'm finding could be Capiper, hose, booster, check-valve.

Not a car person, need help!

Can anyone put me in the right direction ?

Thanks

is it just from idle or from using it while in stop and go traffic?

one thing you might want to do is jack the front up press the brakes as hard as you can for a few seconds then release and have someone try to turn each wheel, then repeat that for the rear. this is going to help identify if its a single wheel acting up or the who system. what could be happening is a caliper or brake hose is acting up and seizing that one wheel. also make sure your not fighting the trans when your doing this. if it is the brakes seizing you shouldnt be able to turn the wheel at all

Sounds like the brake booster push rod needs to be adjusted slightly so it's a little shorter. If it's adjustable. What's possibly happening is as the brake fluid heats up and expands, it's causing the rod to engage the brakes.
