Default please help electrical issues 07 equinox

hi, my name is bill and its nice to meet everyone .
I searched through as much as I could but I cannot figure out whats wrong with my car .
I have an 07 equinox and this past week its been acting real strange.

1) turn signals dead
2) haz lights dead
3) unable to open liftgate
4) unable to shut off automatic headlights
5) it keeps indicating that a door is open.
6) power doorlocks dead
when this happens i usually disconnect thebattery cable for about 30 seconds, reconnect it and everything is back to normal for a few minutes to an hour. then this happens again.

any advice or help would be great thanks.

could it be the body control mod?

oh and this all started after I had the drivers side headlight replaced

First of all... Welcome to the site! Just to make sure I understand correctly all of the above mentioned works AFTER you disconnect the battery? So your hazards and turn signals work, you can open the liftgate, the door realizes it is closed, your automatic doorlocks work and your auto lamps can turn off. Honestly that could be an issue with the PCM, but I am by no means a mechanical whiz. I would first check any relays and fuses related to the parts mentioned. Do you have a check engine light on or any other form of malfunction indicator light? If so you may be able to have your local parts store such as Autozone check the codes for you free of charge. I hope some of this helps in any way.

yes everything works fine after I disconnect the battery cable for about 30 seconds and reconnect it. it will be fine for about an hour then it goes out on me again. what is a PCM?

The Power Control Module, or the computer. It basically runs everything in the car.

thanks, now the car is really going crazy. there are times where the left turn signal wont shut off or it will just come on by itself. and the door open light will come on for no reason at all. this car is real creepy. lol
are these computers hard to swap out? I dont know too much about these trucks. I am more or a mitsubishi 3000gt turbo tuner guy myself. this is my daily driver.

Yeah you may want to take that to the dealer and have them diagnose it. That does sound a little creepy to me as well. Now a 3000 gt Turbo, thats a car. Is it a VR4? I would love to see some pics of that if you have any.

the only pic that I have in my computer is a pic of my new Defi gauges installed in the dash.
durring the week I will wash her down and take some new pics to show you. but its a 97 vr4 black. with the following mods.

Damn, How much power does that thing put to the ground? And the stage 3 how much with THAT one be able to handle? sounds like you know your way around a mitsubishi. I once had an Eclipse with mods, fun little car to drive. I had light weight under drive pullies, 4-2-1 racing header, high flow cat, full 3" exhaust Cold air intake slight tune, Transmission from a dodge avenger (after that was installed that car would haul!) unfortunately the oil pump went out on it, so I sold it to my brother for 800 bucks and now it sits doing nothing. The car at the end of the pics of the eclipse is the replacement toy I bought.

wow, I really really like that crown vic!!!!!!. last year I bought a 07 crown vic it was a retired nyc yellow cab for 1000. bucks. what a big mistake it had 300k miles and the trans went on it 11 days after I got it custom painted gloss black. I just gave it to my brother in law and then I bought this equinox.
but my 3000gt dyno at 404 awhp with td04 15g turbos and 550 cc injectors running safe at 15 psi for now on a standard base aem map tune on pump gas with no counts of knock. but keep in mind these cars weigh almost 4000 lbs and are awd so in a quarted mile launch with a viper the viper may kick out more hp then me but when we launch off the line the viper will have some traction issues and spin some tires for a few seconds. meanwhile i will be 1/2 way down the track before he even takes off the advantage if awd is real awesome!!!
as for my spring plans I already bought all the parts ,engine, turbos, clutch, ported heads. the pampena motorsports built shorty and those precision 3082 turbos that are just huge they look about 4 times the size of the stock size turbos and they come with t3 headers.
so long story short with everything together including a bell housing brace to protect my trans durring a launch, and with a 5 bar map sensor , a good map tune ,and a 90mm q45 throttle body i think i can make 800-850 awhp in pump at 25-28 psi without any counts of knock. but I guess time will tell my friend

ps. i'll settle for 799 awhp ,lol
