I have a 2005 Equinox and the a/c started to go bad at the end of last year. This year it won't even get cold. When I'm idling or driving down the highway, I have no A/C. It will only blow warm air from outside. We tried the recharge the a/c, but it was fully charged. Not sure what to check next.

 

The cooling fans should turn on and A/C compressor should be engaged when the A/C is turned on. No fans and/or no compressor means the A/C isn't working.

 

Have you checked if the A/C is low in freon?

 

How did you check the charge level? Static low side pressure readings are not an accurate method.


Is the compressor cycling on?
