Hi there
I have an 07 equinox, having a no start issue.
when it’s cold outside say -15 degrees C, it won’t start, just click from the starter solenoid. Sometimes no click at solenoid at all. Battery is fully charged when doing this.
when I push the car inside the garage and wait for maybe 1 hour, it starts no problem.
so then I replaced the starter, parked it outside again and same thing, click from solenoid.
So then I replaced the b+ terminal cable from the starter to the battery, also replaced the positive battery terminal, cleaned that post and terminals as well, tried it. Same
I took my booster cables, put one cable on b+ of starter to batt positive, other cable from starter ground to negative terminal of battery. Tried to start it, same. Then at the same
time, took my booster and boosted the battery, still the same issue. Any one come across this before ?
thanks to those who reply

Did you try boosting it from another vehicle?

well assuming the starter isn't defective and installed and shimmed properly , then it's the engine. Trying taking off the serpentine belt.

cold weather always brings out problems and exacerbates weaknesses.
