2007 Equinox radio dead!
The radio on my 2007 Equinox does not turn on, nor does the clock have power. I also noticed that the turnsignal "noisemaker" and the chime are not working. I tested the in cabin radio fuse and it is ok. What is the relation between the chime system, Turnsignal noisemaker, and the radio?
Any other fuses to check?

the radio should have 2 fuses. one in the underhood fuse panel and one in the center footwell area.
iirc the radio operates all chime functions out to the left door speaker. Once the radio powers up...if you have no sound to the left front door speaker....check for broken wires in the left front door pillar passthrough into the door.

There's only one fuse for the radio which is located in the interior fuse panel. The BCM controls when the radio powers up so a blown BCM fuse could cause the radio to not power on (and subsequently no chimes/warnings) since the radio wouldn't receive the power up command from the BCM. I'd think you'd see other symptoms if a BCM fuse were blown, but the BCM gets power from multiple fuses so that may not be the case.
I'd recommend checking these fuses in the interior fuse panel: 7, 11, 20, 22, 23
and this one in the underhood fuse panel: 42

Thanks. I will check those fuses. In years past when the battery was failing, The bcm would boot improperly upon ignition. Symptoms would include the radio coming up with all functions but no audio output. Also no turn signal audio. Add to that occas airbag, or staibility trac warnings. Turning the car off and restarting after about :10 would fix the issues.
Has been fine last 2 years since battery replacement. Cycling this time does not help.

All fuses ok. Since you sort of describe the BCM as a computer, I tried "rebooting" it by pulling the battery lead off of the under hood fusebox input. Waited a minute and reconnected. IT WORKED!!! Radio and Chimes working(for now). THANKS! If It had a keyboard, "Cntl, alt, delete" would have been much easier.
