Default 2007 Equinox Rear Hatch Won't Open

Hi Everyone,

As the title states I can't get the rear hatch of my 07 equinox to open. - I've done a bit of research upfront and have found the circuit diagram for this year and model, and want to go about trying to diagnose the source of the issue with a multi meter and power probe. - Has anyone run into this issue before and successfully remedied it? I guess my main question too is what would be a reasonable order of operations for trying to hunt this issue down? Where to start in terms of testing a connection and going down the chain etc..... - I felt the post below from justanswer to be of reasonable guidance. - I'm selling this car and just want to try and remedy before sale.

Any help in advance is greatly appreciated!
