2012 Equinox 3 Rusty Doors and a Hatch

Dealer fixed them all but I'm not impressed it happened in the first place. Part of the problem with the doors is rocker panel-less body. Instead of the rocker panels taking the rust hit, the doors are in the line of fire. As for the hatch, surface rust below the license plate and rust stain trails out of the light plate light on the chrome.

And I had the rust protection applied too so little did that help or perhaps how much worse would it have been without?

 

It's Chevrolet. I should have figured buying this car for my son it would have some kind of major problems. Rust all underneath the vehicle!! Terrible quality!! Never have seen rust like this other than in 30 year old vehicles sitting in a field.

 

how old is the car and what region do you live in?

when i lived inthe rust belt...everything was junk after 6 years.
