I own a 2015 Equinox with 100k miles on it. Starting last week, the alarm will randomly go off. There is a single beep, followed by the alarm for about 1 minute. I can turn it off with my remote, but it will repeat the same sequence minutes later or hours later. I was told it could be the car battery so I replaced that - no luck, I thought it could be my remote shorting so I took the batteries out of both - no luck. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to see the DIC message, if any, but I'm hoping to the next time it sounds.

I know there was a problem on older models pertaining to the hood latch. I haven't seen anyone with this issue, however, on any model newer than 2012/3.

I am removing the horn fuse tonight so it doesn't continue to wake my neighbors (#34). I don't believe the alarm has it's own fuse.

Any ideas? TIA
