Default 2018 Equniox metal key start

Does anyone know if it is possible to start the 2018 Equniox with only the metal key. I was out and the fob fell off and was lost. I was able to get in the car but couldn’t find anywhere to turn on the car with just the metal key.

Welcome from Florida. Call a mobile locksmith that specializes in cars. He will have to program a new fob. This will be much cheaper than a dealership and you won't have to have it towed in.

thanks but I had a spare fob at home so that wasn’t the problem. I was just wondering if there was a way to use the metal key to actually turn the car on. I always thought there was still an ignition lock somewhere to use in a situation like this but I couldn’t find it:

No, you must have the fob. There isn't a way to use the physical key to start the vehicle.
