2019 Equinox Radio Swap 7" to 8"

I have a 2019 Equinox LT with the standard 7" radio and was checking online for a junkyard 8" radio and found a bunch of available units that were affordable. Has anyone made this swap? Is it easy? Any pitfalls or problems to watch out for?

I would like to bump this thread back to the top and find this out as well. I see that the screens are going for just over $100 on eBay, and they are being sold as new overstock items. For such a small cost, it would be nice to have the larger display. I did have a few of questions too.
Thanks in advance!
- Would this swap require a dealer reprogramming and would it even gain me much?
- Also, I'm not sure if there is a difference on what is displayed on the larger screen. Would everything displayed just be bigger (Icons, etc.), or does the bigger screen use a different layout?
- How do you remove the current display? Has anyone made a tutorial or video?
Thanks in advance!

So I wanted to do this with my car and decided to do some research (still researching). I took my display/headunit out to see what the harness looks like before I bought a 8" from ebay. The 7" has 3 plugs coming from the back of it and only 2 on the 8". So I am researching if there's a harness/adopter that will go from 3 to 2. So far the only way (that I know of) to change the display is to have the dealer do it. Which I was quoted, at 2 different dealers, $3,000.
Also you can get an android 7.1 headunit, which I would NOT get a 7.1 android when we are on the 10 gen.
Do a google search for "9.7" Android 7.1 Fast Boot Vertical Screen Navi Radio for Chevrolet Equinox 2018 2019".
Good luck!

Has anyone had luck in doing this? I was able to find an updated screen (and associated parts) and would like to know if someone successfully did this upgrade.
