I just got a new 2022 Equinox and it says the USB ports connect and play data as well as charge in the center console. Any cable I use does not commect my iPod (yeah yeah, I know) to play. I even upgraded and bought a newer gen ipod and it still won't play. It shows its charging when plugged in, but it won't recognize the device and play.
I even unsynced my android phone from the car and plugged it in with a USB, and it doesn't register either.
Anyone else having this issue with USB connection issues from the main console?!

 

I am having the same problem. I have an iPod classic that played fine in my 2021 Colorado. I brought home the 2022 Equinox 2 days ago and can't get it to connect at all. It charges, but will not connect to play the music. I tried it with a iPod nano too... Nothing. I could connect that one through Bluetooth, but as soon as I turned the car off, it wouId say it was connected but was greyed out on the device list. Uthen tried another brand mp3 player. Still no connection.

I tried asking Chevy support, but they had no answer.

This is REALLY frustrating.
