Default A/C Issues

I bought my 2011 Chev Equinox second hand 4 weeks ago. At first the air conditioner was working great. I did notice a hissing sound coming from the vents. At about the same time that went away my A/C was blowing less cold air for a week or so, and slowly it has got to just warm air.

It is not under warranty anymore. We checked the refrigerant and it read at proper levels. The compressor is activating.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank You

If it's the original compressor and or the same compressor as an 2005 and up NOX it could be the Scroll Compressor Control Valve || ACParts House

I'm not sure if and when they changed the compressor style.

Does it blow warm sitting at Idol and cool-colder while driving ?

It blows warm air at both stand still and driving.

Hello levick2,

I see that you're having an issue with your A/C and I'd like to apologize for any convenience this has caused. We'd be more than happy to look into your concerns further and contact the dealership on your behalf. Feel free to send your VIN, mileage, contact information, and preferred dealership in a private message if this is something that peaks your interest!

Kind regards,

Jasmine F

Sometimes AC systems can be a pain the a** to figure out why there is no cold air.
You may have to take it to a few shops that do ac work and have them perform some test. Some shops will check it for free. But just be careful as there are a lot of scammers out there .
Please keep us posted.
Good luck.....
