Computer touched positive terminal on bat while running
Computer touched positive terminal on my battery while running. It killed the engine instantly and a big puff of smoke came out from under the hood. So far I bought a new computer from flagship one programmed to my Vin. I installed it but still no start from the car nothing. I'm just wondering if I fried anything else and how to check other things. I've had a good odb scanner on it and it won't connect to the computer. I also have a test light to test positive and grounds. I also did key learn but have no security light on either

Flagship One has a rather checkered record around selling PCMs that may not be operational. This from many of the Mechanic Videos on the YouTubes. Assuming yours is functional you are going to start by checking power and ground connections to the module by back probing those connections using a wiring diagram. Won't give you a full course on diagram reading or basic DC electricty (you may not need it). You might get lucky and find a power feed to the PCM is fused and open. Good luck!
