Default Customer Service?

I opened a claim with Chevy last Sat. trying to get some help. It quickly became apparent that the service agent wasn't going to help so I asked to speak to his supervisor. After he danced around for a while, he said that he would talk to his supervisor and call me on Mon. No Mon call, so I called customer service at 3:00 PM and the lady said that all she could do was to leave a message on the original agent's voice mail and said that I should also do it. I did. Called again today and got the same reply. It seems that the original agent is a "senior" advisor, and that the people who answer the phone cannot do anything but leave voice mails because he is "above" them.
So, what can I do?
I know everyone has a boss, but apparently, there is no way to get past this guy, and he is non responsive.
Really poor customer service. Isn't it just common courtesy to at least reply?
I may not like the answer, but this is ridiculous.
My parents are 91 and 83 yrs old and will not drive this car and we can't even sell it because it is defective and they fear that they will get stuck someplace away from home.

Well, this is the Equinox forum, right?
This is not about the problem, it is about Chevrolet Customer Service--not the dealer, the factory customer service-- and their inability to reply after my initial phone call.
I cannot believe that they will not reply to me!
