Default Emissions Readiness

Having trouble getting my equinox to pass emissions. Tech says my EVAP and CAT monitors "aren't ready". Any suggestions would be helpful. I have driven the car 180 miles since the coimputer was reset last hursday.

If any codes were recently cleared it will reset all the monitors...
You may need to do some stop and go driving and a few ignition cycles... I have found that just one long drive won't necessarily set all the needed parameters...

Fuel tank is at half. Codes that were fixed were a P401 and a P404. I took the air intake off and cleaned it. Erased the codes and am now diriving to get the monitors reset.

P401 hasn't come back on. The P404 came on but went off early saturday morning.

I have driven 188 miles and only two of the monitors are set EVAP and CAT are not ready.

p0401 won't run when the p0404 sets...which it has. Don't know how the egr monitor passed

neither however are needed to run and pass for the cat and evap monitors to run.

maybe your garage can print off the conditions needed to run the 2 monitors. Its to large for me to reprint.

Got the CAT monitor to read ok this evening after a long drive. EVAP still not ready, but at least now it can be inspected.

Any specifics on this drive? I am in the same boat. Just got EGR working, CAT and EVAP are remaining, just want to do CAT. Maybe a 1 hour drive at highway speeds?
