In my experience cylinders get matched to pistons. However based on what I've read I've not seen the mention of the ring and piston TSB/recall issue for oil consumption calling for boring/oversized pistons.

​​​​​​I ask because I will be putting in new pistons and rings, fixing the known manifold crack, new valve seals, vented oil cap, and new timing chain, guides, sprockets, and tensioner.
