Gas milage

I have a 2019 AWD premier, four adults, full gas tank. Drove 160 kms (100 miles) 20% in the city and doing about 120kph (70 odd mph) on the highway. Best I got was 9.1 litres per 100kms about 25 mpg.
I think this is terrible, a smallish SUV with a 1.5 turbo should do much better, do I have a gas/mechanical problem or is this acceptable? It has about 12300kms about 7,687miles on the engine.
Thanks
TM

600lbs load, winter time, awd 120km/hr and 20% city... slow down and you will get better mileage. no mechanical problem...heavy foot problem.

x2 on the heavy foot. most times i see best mpgs from 50-60 anything above 60 the air is so thick it has to work harder to cut through it. my 04 imp will get 33+ going 50-55 i can fine tune it when i hit 60+ to get 28-30 mpgs. its picky also it not like a constant decrease, for example i could be going 62 MPH and seeing 25 but if i bump cruise up one it will increase my MPH and i could see 28 mpg if i hit cruise again to increase my MPH i could see 26.. at 70 i can see 28 but anything above 70 is a constant decrease, if im going 75 im prob going to see 24 mpg
