How do i find out if my 2005 Chevy Equinox LT has a factory subwoofer
I just got a 2005 chevy equinox lt and the factory stereo the cd player is broke so I am only able to listen to radio. I want to replace the stereo but i'm having trouble finding out which installation kit i need to get. it has the stereo controls on the steering wheel. can anyone help me? trying to get the correct answer so when i take the dash apart to put in an after market (kenwood) head unit i don't have to find out i got the wrong things

The LT does not have a factory sub. I recently replaced my head unit with a Chinese android system- Joying. Not very expensive but more important plug and play. Didn’t have to buy any harness and still retained all functions

This isn't true. Any trim level could be equipped with the factory subwoofer because the premium audio system was available as a separate option. The easiest way to tell if your Equinox has it is to look for a round speaker opening in the right panel of the cargo area.
