2016 equinox no sound for turn signals....radio... information center took to local mechanic he says amplifier is bad?? so there is a box under steer column that makes these sounds and controls radio speakers?? has a bose radio from factory.. does this make it a different amp?? say be under 1k to fix all??? says needs dealer programed after install also?? is all this right?? so should just take to dealer to get done??? i thought the body control module did these functions...but maybe not radio speakers???

 

The BCM commands the turn signal sounds and warning sounds, but ultimately the amplifier sends the sound to the speakers. If you're getting no sound from the radio as well, the amplifier could very well be bad.
