I was wondering if there was a way to retrofit an OEM remote start on an '08 LS model. I know it was one of the options for the model so I'm thinking the DIC could be modified and get a new key fob? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

best way is to buy a remote start kit from the dealer. this will keep the factory immobilizer uncompromised. No wiring has to be spliced in, just module reprogramming.


there are 1way and 2 way remote systems. 1way are cheaper and easier to set up. 2way systems will require rcdlm replacement.
