Series of issues culmiateing in catostrophic failure.
First I want to thank this forum, ya'll have helped me with several of the smaller issues that have come up with my equinox over the course of the year. This one is a doozy though and I'm not even sure how to describe it to find out whats wrong or what to do.

Current problem, car full on died while driving, wouldn't start again. don't even know if its worth repairing, or what to do about it.
this all started with a water pump failure a few months ago that caused the car to overheat. The issue was the chain in the pump broke, but required a replacement of the radiator, thermostat, water pump. pretty much the whole coolant system.
Then it started ideling rough, stalling at lights and on turns.
Wasnt sure what was going on with that, but got a recall notice for the high pressure fuel pump.
Took it in last week to have the fuel pump replaced, was notified it was low on oil and might be over consuming it so should get an oil change. got the oil change and it stopped idling rough and stalling. thought all was gravy.
This morning went less than five miles to the grocery store. Upon starting the car to head home notices of reduced engine power, and service stabilitrack (SP? not even sure what that is) came up, and i started to drive home. made it about a mile, and car just stopped running. I was going 28 miles per hour with rpm around the 2 mark. felt like the car was getting ready to shift and just stopped running instead.
wont turn over, makes no noise what so ever when trying attempting to start it. no smells from the engine.
Could this be connected to any of the work its had done in the last few months?
What could be wrong with it?
Thanks.
