smaller diameter winter tires
I just installed a full set of 225/55/17 winter tires on my 2016 equinox 4cly.
Now the speedometer is off by 6 mph at 72 mph, so I am just using the GPS for the correct speed.
Can this cause harm to the transmission?

As long as all four tires are the same size it won't hurt anything and ABS & Stabilitrak will still work fine too.
