Stabilitytrack Service

I have 2008 Chevy equinox.I have a service stability track service warning.The car drives no check engine light.The steering is extremely hard.What can be the issue?

Which engine does it have? The 2008-2009 models with the 3.4L/3400 engine have electric power steering, but the Sport models with the DOHC 3.6L engine have hydraulic power steering.
