Default Sway bar bushings

Have rebuilt front end of my 2008 Equinox fwd and was wondering if the sway bar bushings needed to be lubed when installing. Since it has been cold out the front end sometimes "moans" a little when turning. Any suggestions? TIA

They don't need to be, but it won't hurt anything as long as it's a silicone-based grease. I know some people do, especially when they install polyurethane bushings. Where does the moaning come from? Ours does this sometimes, but it comes from the steering column. It's done it the whole time we've owned it since 2008, but it's very subtle and never caused any trouble so I don't worry about.

They are the poly bushings. Sounds like it is coming from the passenger side and just started with the cold weather. When I get some time I will spray some silicone on the bushings and see if that helps. Thanks for the reply
