Temp gaug stopped working on Equinox 08.
I want to order an instrument cluster from junkyard with the same ID
Will it just be a plug and play
or it will need to be reporgrammed???

I think you'd be better off if you could find a place to fix the cluster you have.

 

Are you sure its the cluster? Does the cluster do a gauge sweep on start up for this model?




Not sure if a used cluster needs programming to function. I would program it regardless.


Not programming it should not disable the car as immobilizer functions are not cluster related. A new cluster will lock out the cluster if driven and not programmed.

 

Try pulling the fuse for the gauge cluster for about a minute. Then see what happens after putting it back in.
