Two indicator lights on... trying to diagnose problem
I drive a 2010 Equinox (awd) with about 55,000 miles. I've owned it for about 6 months and have had no problems with it up to this point. The other day I get the StabiliTrak indicator light along with a message that says "Service StabiliTrak." The light has been on ever since (about 1 week), and the message appears every time I start my car. Also, along with the StabiliTrak light, my ABS light is on. No message, but the light has been on ever since the StabiliTrak light turned on, which makes me think that the two are related... unless it is a huge coincidence. One more thing... Every time I turn the car on and get the "Service StabiliTrak message, I also get a follow-up message that says "Four Wheel Drive Off." This last part is kind of throwing me off.. I don't know if AWD is supposed to be off when you get a StabiliTrak light, or if it is a separate issue. The car is still running perfectly fine, but the lights and messages have me curious, and I would like to know what exactly is wrong. Before taking it in to get looked at I wanted to know if anyone else has had an issue with this combination of lights/messages in the past. Thanks.
