I went and had the truck serviced at my mechanics today. Oil change, air filter etc. While checking out everything underneath the truck we found a couple of cracks in the Vapor canister under the fuel tank. Now I need to get this replaced but its a dealer's only part and I am wondering how much does one cost? The check engine light hasn't come back on yet; it went off after I filled up on gas this week; but I figure it probably will soon.

Also I have heard that if you fill the tank up after the nozzles clicks off that it damages the canister? Is that correct? I used to fill up my old 97 Blazer after the nozzle clicked off and I was doing that to the Equinox as well. Is that bad for the Equinox?
