Default Windows not working

The windows on my 2006 Chevrolet Equinox LT are not rolling down. They are all in the up position, but none of the windows roll down. Even the switches in the back dont roll the back windows down. Ive had the fuses checks, but i dont know where else to go with this.

Check the 10A PRNDL/PWR TRN fuse in the interior fuse panel (the gear indicator will also not work if this fuse is bad) and the 30 PWR WDW fuse in the underhood fuse block. If those are good then start the vehicle, swap the STARTER relay with the PWR WDW relay in the under hood fuse block, and test the power windows. If they still don't work, either the master window switch near the shifter is bad or you have some bad wiring somewhere.

The 2005-2007 Equinox is notorious for this issue. The most likely culprit is the wires between the doors and the body. For example, open the driver's door. You will see a black flexible cover. Pull it back and you'll see a bunch of different colored wires... some of which will be broken. When GM designed this vehicle they did not allow enough slack in the wires on this part of the vehicle. So, over time, they get very stressed with the opening and closing of the doors and they break. You will notice there is not much slack in the wires to work with. I got some wire splices / fasteners from the auto parts store and extended my wires a bit. Then I simply fastened them together, wrapped them with heat shrink and no more problem. I apologize for not having pics. I can post some if that would be helpful.

My speakers, window and chimes stopped working, opened up door panel(not hard, Utube vids on it) removed speaker on bottom( 3 8mm bolts and a wire clip) pulled rubber cover through door, found wired frayed and broken, used solderless connectors and also make a jumper to extend the lenth of the wire. about six were broken including the window wires which are the heavy ones. so speakers work, chimes go off when key is in ing and door opens, or lights are on, radio shuts off now when door opens, But the window is another issue, it was working for 2 days and then would not go up again, so off came the door panel checked the connections, all good, took the plug off the motor, tested each connection with voltage and switch and wire were good. So motor is going bad? I just disconnected the plug to the motor because with my luck I'll have the window down and it will start raining and cant get the window up. Anyone know if the sell the motor separate or you need to replace the whole window balance?
