canucklehead I think so. When I first went to 5w30 Full Syn High Mileage Mobil 1 it it leaked a bit. Not much. Just a few drops it seems to have stopped now. It did not leak enough to show any loss on the dipstick.
At the next oil change I may try 5w40 mobil 1. So its starting weight is low but as it heats it will stay more viscous. I don't know if this is bad idea, seems like others do this as well. It supposedly has zinc in it which is good for wear but bad for cats. I may just delete the cats at some point, I live in a state where that is not an issue.
