Default 2001 g1500 van 4.3 power steering issue

I have replaced the steering gear and a new power steering pump on the above van. I have followed all the instructions for both the pump and gear, blew out the lines and replaced all the o-rings. I filled the reservoir and bled the beast and took it out for a ride, did some right and left 360's with no issues, took it on the highway and went to make a right turn off the exit and no power steering. If I get the front wheels off the ground, it turns beautifully but as soon as I let it down, it won't turn. Any ideas?

When you let it down, could the suspension be possibly compressing on PS line?
