2002 Chevy Express cranks but won’t start sometimes!
Hi All,
I have a Chevy express 2500 that has only about 60k miles that wouldn’t start all the time. It will crank very well but won’t start. I’ve replaced the distribution cap and rotor but it still does the same thing. Sometimes it starts with no problems. I’m wondering what could be the issue. I’ve checked the coil and it seems to be putting out enough voltage. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

always try easy things first.
- check all fuses
- inspect/test spark plugs
- test fuel pressure
then
- change fuel filter
- test injectors
then
- compression test
- crank/camshaft sensors
- scan the diagnostic system for faults.
etc ...

Check the cam shaft wiring going into the connector. Mine was corroded. Bought the connector with a 12 inch pigtail and replaced the connector. Van started fine after that.
