Default 2002 Express 3500 Headlight Switch Bracket

Greetings everyone. I have a 2002 Express 3500, and have an odd problem. The light switch is hanging in free space behind the bezel. It was like this when I bought it, and I’m wondering if anyone knows what the part is named, which the light switch slides into? It’s obviously missing something, cuz that space back there looks big enough to park a minivan! Thanks!

You might find a replacement at the junkyard.

this is what I have. It’s at least 60 miles to a junk yard. If I have to, I’ll make the trip, but id just prefer to order the part.

oof those vents

check the usual GM parts distribution websites. (gmpartsdirect.com, etc. there's a bunch of them) They have exploded part diagrams for finding the part you need. Or call up your GM dealership.

oddly enough, the diagram at the link (for cluster) just shows the bezel and switch. I know in my pickup truck, which at least had the same switch, had an insert that the switch fit inside. The bezel just held the switch tight against that insert. This is just weird.

They’re not bad at all. That was just bad lighting for the pic. Lol
