Side doors are finished... started on them early this morning...
just finished cleaning up everything... and go get ready for company.. after all it is Thanks Given.. lol I am kinda bummed at myself .... I got all wrapped up in working on the doors that I forgot to take 1 pic.... GEEZE.. must have been the Glue... thats my story.. lol so I used the same material as I have been using for the Ceiling after the factory headliner... 1/8 th board... cut to fit... and drilled and pop riveted to the panel.... makes a clean transition and very flat surface... I am VERY PLEASED with the out come... so here are some pics... I used 2 pieces of 1 inch foam insulation stacked and glued onto one another I can only imagine how warm this van will be once I have it all covered. |

I turned them before saving them to my desk top.. but when I up load them here they turn back again but while in preview if I click on the pic the dam thing turns upright... OMG.. I dont get it.. this is the first time I have had a problem like this I remember ARTIE1 way back in this thread had pics that were turned and I fixed them.. I dont get it ... hhhhhmmm lets see if this works... |

I cannot get Oil pressure and temp in my Torque Pro. Is there a custom PID equation needed? Pls help.
|
Okay, so I was poking around the intarwebs, and found an offer for Torque Pro for free. I was skeptical, but after jumping through a couple hoops, I now have the Pro. And with the money I saved, I can have a cheap lunch. No drink, but at least I can eat.
I'd be interested in oil pressure as well. Artie- I saw oil temp in the listing. |
Oil Pressure PID GM
I just woke up...
thats funny.. like white castles ? lol anyways.. I will get moving and get my tablet from the van. and check and see which formula's I used ..... |
ARTIE1 back on post #77
you showed us a pic of your radio with torque installed... from that pic it showed Trans Temp.... upper right side... what I noticed though it was in 'C not 'F celsius insead of Fahrenheit. did it not work then? |
I am using METHOD 1
PID 221940 all the same values but I changed edited the C to F |

you mentioned for me to change decimal on my gauges... I like that idea... but your instructions are very vague as you said to hold long on the gauge and go to settings.. here is a pic of what I get when I hold long on the gauge.... there is NO settings menu maybe you left a step out ? I dont know... I am using Torque Pro |
OK CRAP..
I went back and re read.. I gave you Trans temp PID... I will work on the Oil pressure next.. |
Oil pressure pid
pid # Long Name Short Name Min Value Max Value Scale Factor Unit Type Equation OBD Header 22115c Oil Pressure Oil Prss 0 200 x1 PSI (A*0.65)-17.5 AUTO |
OK thats some crap once again
I previewed my post and it looked just how I wanted it too I posted and it came up just like this garbled crap WTH.. it wont stay the way I wrote it.. |
Try this again.....
PID # ........LONG NAME......SHORT NAME .....MIN VALUE....MAX VALUE.....SCALE FACTOR.....UNIT TYPE.....EQUATION.....OBD HEADER 22115c}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}oil pressure}}}}}}}}}}}}}}oil prss}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}0{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ {{{200}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}x1{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ {{{{{{PSI}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} (A*0.65)-17.5 }}}}}}}}}}}} auto MAIN thing about the pid number.. DONT FORGET to put the c in there.. I did and it didnt work.. 22115c |
STAN let me know if that works for you since I know your vehicle is a newer one... will be interesting to know.....
I am wanting outside temp... Engine Oil Temp I am researching ( looking on the net ) |

Oh yeah, it works. Compass doesn't, but I believe it's because it's supposed to read the data from the GPS in the tablet, which it doesn't have. I'm gonna browse that forum for more stuff.
|
STAN.. that Sucks you were wanting the compass....
|
It's cool. There still may be a fix. I remain optimistic.
|
Okay, so the free version of Pro was an old one. Really old.. So, I sprung for it. I tried to run a plugin called TorqueScan, and what I had was too old, so.... But I recommend it. TorqueScan scans for the sensors you have in your vehicle, basically making the list of gauges you can get more green. It gives you an exact picture of what you can do.
But before I did all that, I did a small road trip yesterday, and I gotta say, the HP gauge is interesting. I added the 0-60 one, but I haven't given it a fair shake yet. Maybe tomorrow. |
Stan
I too have Torque Scan... I hadnt thought of posting that part.. lol Good Job..... I have been working on my Seat belts I have covers for them ... you will see, once I get a few more things complete I will be posting more pics.... I must say.. I have been very happy with my Torque Pro.... ( finally ) lol |
No, don't do the covers, they make them factory red! Option code 5B2 SAFETY BELTS, Red belts, Provides high visibility front Red seat belts in lieu of Dark Pewter.
|
Insulate GMC Express....lol

Worked more on the walls .....insulated the heck out of the walls...lol
the right side is complete and ready for some boxing in.....I still have the left side to finish... This process goes slow... but should be worth it in the long run. |
With a thought that might not be popular, I'm hoping the walls will get the red fur. Because, in for a penny, in for a pound.
Lookin' good. |
YES with some variations ....
after careful thought and planning.... ( drawings ) I will be adding the fur to the walls but there will be storage compartments as well.. ( you will see ) ... when I get more time on my hands... I will be able to work more on it.... I am in the process of moving my father into his New Town Home. yes ... after 49 years of marriage the big D.. so once I get him settled in I will getting back on the van.... |
Dome light....
Here is a question that came up that I could not answer....
the driver and passenger side doors... how do they activate the dome light ? I looked for a normal button ... I am thinking it is wired into the latch possibly ? any ways received a call today from another VAN guy.. and his Dome lights are not coming on when either the driver or passenger side doors open...... but the dome light will come on with the side or rear door is opened. HHHMMMM one would have to know how it is wired in order to track down the problem... so its odd that both front doors will not turn on the dome lights.. are they wired threw the head light switch ? |
My guess is that it's part of the latch/handle assembly. On Le Moose, the only door that has a traditional jam switch is the rear side door.
That issue you describe is even weirder than mine was. I'd wonder about the rear door, and whether it has the traditional switch, and if it goes with the side door, or the front doors. |
Stan
I am not sure I understand.... the rear doors make the dome light come on he says. the side doors make the dome light come on as well.... the driver and passenger doors do NOT make the dome light come on. I was telling Dan if I knew of an issue I sure would have looked hard at the inside of the door when I had the panels off ... ( replaced the speakers ).... heck I didnt even pay attention that the doors dont have a plunger to activate the dome light.. lol just never thought about it mine work.... lol.. |
Sorry, I missed the rear doors part. I don't know what to tell you.The only thought might be the wires at the hinge area. I had a wire break from fatigue there on Da Wifes Equinox, when it was 6 or 7 years old. In her case, it was a speaker wire, and only the drivers door. I thought it odd that it broke at such an early age, but it's now 12, and the rest of the wires haven't shown any signs of going bad like the one I fixed.
It's probably not the easiest thing to get to, but checking the switch at the latch is the first thing to check, after looking at those wires in the door jam. |
Thats what I said to him.. that was my thoughts ..
but isnt it weird that both doors? only other thing I could think of was if the wires were fed from the headlight switch.. ( dome light ) that would make since to me that both front doors would have the same issue... BUT again not knowing how the dome light circuit is wired just leads to speculation.. I sure miss ( ALLDATA )... that was my friend for the longest time... |
I'm assuming we're talking about Galladanb? If so, I believe his is an '07? I don't know if his is too old to have sensors/alarms on the doors warning when one is open. And I'm just guessing on how this might work, but in my mind, it should be done this way. So, both the side and rear doors have alarms on mine, telling me one or the other is open. The front doors just sound a chime, but don't indicate which is open. The most efficient way to do this is to run all the wires from the doors through a module that selects the correct alarm, and then in turn, send a ground to the dome light circuit (most likely, the H/L switch, which has the manual switch, and override function). So, I'd ask him this; does an alarm sound if he has the key in the ignition, and he opens the drivers door? Keep in mind that if he's replaced the original stereo, the chimes may not work at all, as they do play through the door speaker.
|
Dam Good Point..
I am going to tell him to chime in here this is getting good.. cause mine is 2006 and of course I have changed me stereo.. so my van Does NOT CHIME any more ( thank God ) .. lol but thats a great point about that chimer ... hhhhmmm... |
Thank God, until you lock your keys in. And he won't unlock them for you.
Even though I won't use the OnStar, I spent around $90 to keep that capability, and keep the chimes. I kept the OnStar because it is a cell phone, and the law says that even if you don't pay for service, it still must be able to dial 911. |

So, I'd bet this isn't real, but it did show up on my tablet. Look at the bottom right gauge. I was stopped, so no current reading, but the maximum achieved is ....... crazy. 18,052.2 horsepower.
