I have a 350 engine, running an edelbrock 1406 carb, running 5 psi thru a holley pressure regulator. Also a dual AFR guage, vacuum guage and tach.

Engine runs fine on startup. Doesn't matter if its 14 degrees or 95, just takes awhile for electric choke to do its thing.

After driving and engine is warm It is idleing at around 15 on AFR, vacuum around 20, tach about 850. If I let it sit 15 to 20 minutes, on restart my AFR is reading 17 - 18. Engine will stall if I don't keep my foot on the acelerator. It will do this until I drive a few miles, then go back to normal.

I have not been able to find any vacuum leaks either while cold or hot. This is my 2nd new edelbrock in 10 years and it still does thesame thing.
Could use some ideas on where to look next.

This is in an 85 chevy G 20 van.

More fuel pressure? Is it boiling the fuel when it's hot?

I had just been reading about fuel boiling, especially fuel with ethanol. But I only see where it creates hard starts, like the engine is flooded.
Because of that I didn't think that could be the problem. I was going to try a spacer under the carb and now that it is brought up as a possibility I think I will.

Well, I just ordered an Edelbrock spacer. Thought it was a cure for symptoms of a flooded warm restarts but I may just be trying to run less fuel thru the carb. If my fuel is boiling I'm not getting the quantity of fuel I usually get.

I appreciate the feedback, allows me to rethink possible problems.
