Default Express2500 4.8l low compression

Today my express started to misfire on multiple cylinders primarily #6 and # 8 so I checked the compression and had 0psi of compression in cylinder 6. My engine only has 210000 miles. Are these engines that ****ty I thought the last was suppose to be very reliable. My question is are the valves know to prematurely fail ?

I would never buy a 3/4t van with a 4.8L engine.

possible camshaft problem also. what were the compression numbers on the other cylinders?

the next possible steps imo would be:
-leak down test to determine where the loss is from,,,,intake, exhaust, headgasket, rings
-vacuum gauge to see if its a valve problem
-remove valve cover....crank it over and watch for rocker arm movement

I decided to buy a whole lower mileage engine and go from there
