Question A Few Questions Froma New Chevy owner

Just bought a 2008 Express 2500 Passenger Van with the 6.0. Want to do oil, coolant, maybe even plugs and wires if recommended. Wondering things like with 58,000 miles can I safely go to a Synthetic or even a Blend oil? What filters do you all like, stay away from? I am sure these are covered some place just new to this type of internet group site. Thank you and I look forward to all comments. Especially Chevy related...

You will be fine switching over to synthetic. Just use the correct viscosity, any brand oil is fine. I like wix oil filters.. or napa gold, same thing.

You can find tons of oil and oil filter info at bobistheoilguy.com
Coolant is dex-cool. The ac delco brand is usually cheaper and good quality.
Spark plugs, I am not sure if the new ls engines require iridium plugs. If so, don't cheap out and use platinum ones. Whatever is sale is good.
I never use synthetic imo. I like higher zddp oils as the mileage gets up there....
