Default 03 chevy express dog house console lid repair

03 chevy express dog house console lid repair
there where 3 tabs at bottom inside of console lid all are broken off. this is where the lid attaches to the dog house. I fabbed some new tabs however the lid still detachs from doghouse. like how tight do these tabs hold the lid? thanks for any advice.

The repair is buy one thats not broken. But most of them are broken. It was a poor design.

are you saying to buy a brand new lid? I have sean this part of dog house sold for over $150. on ebay.
I've added my own tabs just 2 there's actuelly 3. I may need to separate the metal fattening up the tab so they fit tighter, I'll try that next.
maybe a hinge may hold it or some duck tape?
