i have a 1970 chev g20 van i need a few parts that are hard to find. the rear gas tank is rusted out and so is the sending unit what will interchange? i also need a dash pad the old one was fine until someone broke into the van while i was in the hospital and used up all the propane for the stove and ripped the cheap aftermarket radio out of the dash,he/she couldn't have taken it out nicely i have looked all over and have not found one for under 500 bucks what would interchange? i got the van for 300 bucks because the p.o. overheated the engine. he had white smoke coming out of the tail pipe,he stopped at a gas station and all they did was remove the thermostat. the engine got hot enough to weld the exhaust to the cylinder heads and cracked the heads. so far i have changed the bearings and cylinder heads,and exhaust manifolds. i picked the heads and manifolds up in the wrecking yard and had to use thick intake gaskets to seal things up. i also changed the timing set and put an hei distributor in. i think i will take the heads off and get the right ones,i probably should change the camshaft to otherwise it will go bad
