Default 1982 g30 hydroboost doesn't fit

I had a mechanic work on my hydroboost to fix the power steering recently, and he messed up the brakes in the process.

It looks like the hydroboost replacement has an arm is about half an inch too long. So now the brakes are permanently engaged.
Unfortunately the mech already recycled the old boost system, before diagnosing the problem so we can't compare arm length.

I've been googling everywhere to get some form of specification of dimensions, and the "official part" is this new one, that seems to have an arm to that is long

Has anyone else encountered this problem knows what the possible workarounds are? To get the vehicle mobile we spaced out the master cylinder from the booster, but obviously this is a sub optimal solution as the booster is not in its ideal resting position.

booster arm is 1/2" too long

a very sketchy workaround to get the vehicle to move 10 feet
