My van has a noise. It's coming from the rear end. Sounds like a gear or bearing noise. I only hear it when decelerating. Maybe this is related: the rear brakes drag sometimes but I can make that stop by coming to a stop applying the parking brake really hard and releasing it. To me it seems like an axle bearing going out and the axle droops and the brakes grab. tearing into a rear end is something I've never done and I don't have a place to do it. I don't have much money right now because I got rear ended last year by an uninsured driver who was texting and I haven't settled with my insurance yet.

 

rear end fell apart. pinion gear and bearing. Got a different rear end. It goes from point a to b.
