Default 1990 chevy g20 van blowing horn DM radio fuse

Hey all
new to the forum need some help on my 1990 Chevy g20 panel van shorty 5.0 700r4 ~~
1990 Chevy g20 van blowing horn DM radio fuse blower works intermittently freaky for sure replace the fuse with the van off fuse blows instantly when i try to change out

if the fuse blows... then that sounds like its a dead short..
you would have to isolate whats causing the problem
its gonna be some labor involved in doing so thats why
dealers charge big bucks when there is an electrical problem.
I would lean towards the easiest known part and unplug it
in your case you made mention horn and radio...
so why not try the steering wheel first alot a times that
wiring is the culprit in steering wheel. causing a dead short to ground.
once you have the wiring unplugged.. put in another known good fuse
and check to see if it blows that fuse..
let us know what ya find out..

I agree on the dead short thing. But we are talking about a 27 year old van, and that radio is either overdue for failure, or is not stock, which brings up the integrity of the installation.

In other words, it's a crap shoot. Electrical issues like this are such a PITA.
